For evangelization purpose Assisi Convent  Edappady was built and blessed on 1st January 1971 by Rev. Fr. Cyriac Muthukattil Vicar Bharananganam church and Rev. Fr. Iykkarakunnel Vicar Edappady. The convent was built on the plot of land owned by Bharananganam convent at Edappady.
